Successful delivery skills framework

A skills framework is one of the major products of a successful delivery skills (SDS) programme. It includes definition of a matrix that identifies the target benchmark level of maturity for each skill area across a range of project roles.

Possible maturity levels

The SDS programme should recognise at least three levels of maturity in each of the individual skills. These could be similar to a Foundation – level 1, a Practitioner – level 2 and perhaps an Expert – level 3 maturity, though criteria must be carefully thought through. An expert is not someone who can memorise a few books and pass exams based on multiple choice answers.
