8. Tweaking Your Playback Experience

You can do a handful of things to alter the playback experience you have in iTunes. We start this chapter by letting you know how you might change the way songs are encoded when imported from CD as well as how to change how songs already in your library are encoded. Then we move on to the use of the Equalizer, which allows you to alter the tonal quality of your music. You can make a few additional tweaks in the Playback pane of your Preferences window; we explain these.
