Chapter 9. Connecting to a Distributed Environment
The last chapter talked about Controls. This chapter looks at the next layer of technology that supports Controls: EJBs and the Application Integration Framework. Here, you will learn how to build EJBs in WebLogic Workshop, how to build entity and session beans quickly without much coding, and how to strengthen EJB deployment using WebLogic Server. This is the foundation for creating EJB Controls, which you used in Chapter 8, “Using Controls, Bindings, and Parsers.”
