The Discussion Group System

The first case study examines the creation of a discussion group system that provides access to message lists. Assume that a client wants to create an online discussion group that can manage threaded message discussions in which one user enters a message on a topic and other users can respond to the message. The initial message and all responses to the message can be viewed as a message thread. This type of application is often referred to as a threaded message list or knowledge base in which knowledge provided by multiple users is exchanged.
