Deploying the WebAuction on Another Database
To deploy the WebAuction application on a database other than Cloudscape, you must make three changes from the process previously described. In this section, we will configure WebAuction for Oracle Version 8 running on Windows 2000.
Step 1: Run the Database Population Commands
Instead of using Cloudscape's ij utility, you need to use the utility specific to your database. For Oracle, this is the SQL*Plus utility. Consult your database documentation for more information.
