For this recipe, there are two options to host another instance of your MySQL database:
- Use a cloud provider such as AWS and use its Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) (https://aws.amazon.com/rds/). They have a certain free usage limit.
- Use a cloud provider such as DigitalOcean (https://www.digitalocean.com/) to purchase a droplet (that is, a server) for as little as $5 per month. Then install the MySQL server on it.
- Use VirtualBox to install Linux on your machine, assuming we are using Windows, or vice versa if you are using Linux. Then install the MySQL server on it.
