The Java Programming Language: A Brief Overview
Java as a programming language is very similar in syntax to C++; therefore, if you know C++, you will find Java very, very easy to learn. If you have ever written in any object-oriented programming language (such as SmallTalk, ObjectPascal/Delphi, Ada, and so on) you are also a step ahead of the game. In this section, we will briefly highlight the key features and concepts of the Java programming language before diving into specifics of the JavaBeans Component Architecture.
