In this chapter, you transformed your Java bean into an ActiveX control using the ActiveX Packager for Beans tool that's provided as part of the JavaBeans Bridge for ActiveX. In five easy steps, your bean was able to run under any ActiveX container. You added an ActiveX bean control to a Microsoft Word document, and you created a Web page with three interacting ActiveX bean controls. Finally, you learned how to remove ActiveX bean controls from your system using the Unregister JavaBeans tool. Using the JavaBeans Bridge for ActiveX, you can create JavaBeans components for the future, while staying compatible with the large number of existing ActiveX container applications.
