Installing the JavaFX Platform

In this chapter, you will learn how to install the JavaFX Script Software Development Kit (SDK) either in a command-line environment or with an Integrated Development Environment (IDE). You will also develop your first JavaFX Script application, compile it, and run it.

The JavaFX Script programming language comes in a Software Development Kit (SDK), based on Java Platform, Standard Edition (Java SE) 1.6. So you will need the following:
