What Are Web Services?
So now that you've read the rhetoric, the more basic question probably comes to your mind: What in the world are Web services?
The answer is both incredibly simple and fairly complicated at the same time. It's complicated because if you ask 12 experts on the subject to define Web services you are bound to get 12 different responses. If you ask 50 you'll probably get 49 different responses. The answer is not necessarily so complicated that all 50 experts couldn't agree, but the answer is changing. The good news is that it's changing because Web services are so dynamic they can reach into dozens of areas of a business.
