Building a sample application: an intranet portal

Now that we have learnt the basics of creating views and portal pages, let us try and apply them. In the next few sections, we will create a sample application that mimics a typical corporate intranet portal that is serving users within the company. We will continue to build on this example in the coming chapters, when we learn about other capabilities of the JBoss portal server.
