Portal objects security

Portal instances, portlet instances, and portal pages are all examples of portal objects that can be secured in JBoss portal. These objects can be secured using both configuration and management portlets provided by the console.

Using the management console

To configure portal object security using the management console, we need to log in to the portal console as admin and access the Admin section of the console page.

The first portal objects that we want to look at securing are the portal instances. The server provides options to control the security constraints of a portal instance, thereby allowing us granular control of the portal application at the highest level.
