There's no extension shortcut for this. You have to make sure your template is properly set up to handle conditional statements. This is a good enhancement to add, as Joomla! administrators can choose to have different modules in different positions for different pages and also choose not to have any modules assigned to positions on certain pages. The way our template currently stands, if no modules are assigned to the
right positions, a blank column will sit there, taking up space and looking odd and somewhat ugly.
