Author’s anecdote: In the early 1980s a father and son sat down in front of a state-of-the-art home computer, equipped with a pencil, paper, programming book, and nothing more than the faintest idea about programming.
They did, however, have an idea revolving around an animated Christmas card that would display graphics of a tree and include the names of the guests invited to a Christmas party. Maybe it could even play a seasonal tune.
