Managing work groups: Belbin team roles
These days, many people work in teams. Teams can be very productive, because they allow people with different skills to work together in creative ways, but they can also be highly dysfunctional. Figuring out what makes teams effective is therefore important, and a key part of this is to understand the different roles individuals play in teams. The ‘Belbin Team Inventory’ is a well-known personality test that measures your preference towards nine different roles you can play in a team.
