Be Yourself and Still Give Them What They Want
You can remain yourself and give your boss what he or she needs while you are building relationships with these important players in the organization. Think about what they want, why they want it, how they want it and when. Ask questions if you don’t have the information to deliver stellar work that begs no question. Most leaders love to teach and enjoy speaking from their experiences and points of view. If you don’t agree with them, at least you will understand. You can deliver the work as requested while including your own ideas in a style that might find easier acceptance.
