There's more...

OVS is a rather complex software switch; in this recipe, we only scratched the surface. In the next few recipes, we can use both the Linux bridge and OVS, with minor configuration changes in libvirt, which we are going to point out as we go.

To remove the KVM virtual interface from the OVS switch, execute the following command:

root@kvm:~# ovs-vsctl del-port virbr1 vnet0root@kvm:~#

To completely delete the OVS switch, run the following command:

root@kvm:~# ovs-vsctl del-br virbr1 && ovs-vsctl showe5164e3e-7897-4717-b766-eae1918077b0 ovs_version: "2.0.2"root@kvm:~#
For more information about the OVS, please visit the projects website, http://openvswitch.org/.
