You keep looking. Nothing has changed until you get an interview, get an offer, and accept a new job.
Don’t sit by the calendar, counting the days since you sent off your magic email, trying to figure out how long it will take them to get back to you. Keep plugging on looking for a new job.
If you don’t get an acknowledgment of receipt of your résumé and cover letter within, say, a week or two, you can go ahead and send a follow-up letter asking for confirmation.
