Creating Presentations
In the previous chapter, we used hyperlinks to navigate as a reader. When you make a presentation, you need navigation for the speaker. So far in this book, we’ve focused on documents meant to be read on paper. Presenting live, on projectors or screens, in academic talks or in Zoom or Microsoft Teams sessions, requires a different approach to visual design and navigation tools. Precisely for this purpose, LaTeX offers a dedicated presentation class with built-in support for slide design, navigation, and presentation, prioritizing speaking over reading. It’s called the beamer class, named after the traditional term for a video projector that beams light onto a screen.
