2.3. Directory Information Tree (Namespace) Structure

This section explains the basics for the structure of the namespace. The key for understanding the relationship between the namespace and the schema is that there is no pre-defined rigid artificial namespace, but, rather, the power of the object class definitions is used (for example the objectClass attribute, DIT structure hierarchy, and so on) to allow the exploiter to define an explicit shape of the namespace.
