Chapter 13: “Stowaway” Passengers

Polly shows up to work. That’s about it. If you were asked to name her best quality as a team member, that would be the first thing that would come to your mind— that she’s present. If pressed to describe her, you might say, “she never causes any problems.” Her biggest strengths are the things she isn’t and the problems she doesn’t create. She isn’t unpleasant to work with, nor does she burden others with her problems. Your relationship with her is cordial enough but you wouldn’t consider it a friendship.
