What is courage? In The Wizard of Oz, the Lion was seeking courage, unaware that he had it inside himself all along. In this chapter, we are going to define courage, understand the role it plays in leadership, and learn how to measure it from four different perspectives. There are many, many definitions of courage; they have a great deal in common, and I offer this one.
