The advent of these myriad choices for getting work done raises some confounding questions for companies. How do our existing governance protocols apply and, perhaps more fundamentally, who is responsible for work? HR has traditionally focused on employees, while business leaders look at joint ventures and alliances, and procurement might focus on vendors and contractors.
