Unlike some professional athletic coaches, cutthroat competition never solely defined Phil Jackson’s approach to basketball. Instead, Phil, an 11-time U.S. National Basketball Association (NBA) championship coach, relied on awareness, connection, and presence to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary.1
Phil employed a strategy that emphasized vitality and relationships in contrast to the authoritarian techniques utilized by many coaches.
