Managing Knowledge While Learning Faster Than the Competition

There is a saying that “knowledge is power.” It is not. What is powerful about knowledge is how it is used. Your leaders can be trained, they can study and acquire enormous amounts of information, they can be hotshot Gen Ys who know everything about mobile techno groups, but if they don’t apply what they’ve learned and pass that knowledge along to others right away, what is the purpose? We’ve come up with a new mantra for this chapter. Share with your leaders this improved version of the old saying: “Lifelong learning and applying knowledge is positive power!”
