I found the development of successful partnerships to be a common theme when visiting successful SEN environments and talking with their leaders. Despite this it is always important to use critical thinking to assess whether it is such a crucial area or just a coincidence.
From discussion with leaders in a range of SEN environments, and from reading, there appears to be a number of factors as to why successful leaders in SEN environments seek to build partnerships.
