A group of 170 international researchers headed by Robert J. House, the Joseph Frank Bernstein Professor of Organizational Studies and professor of management at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, conducted a multiyear, multicountry study called Global Leadership and Organizational Behavior Effectiveness (GLOBE) to identify the different theories of effective leadership around the world.
