MEASURING IMPACT

Over the years, Rotary and CCL have witnessed teens—many of whom are skeptical at first that a leadership program can be fun as well as useful— transform into enthusiastic participants and ambassadors of the program. To measure the program's success, CCL and Rotary conducted an impact study in 2002.

The study, much like those used with traditional CCL clients, was conducted through written surveys and phone interviews with program alumni. The principal purposes of the evaluation were to ensure that the program was meeting its objectives and that the activities used provided opportunities to develop leadership skills, and to identify what participants liked and disliked about the program.
