The Reception Gets Fuzzy
I have had many conversations with managers in other organizations who think it must be wonderful to work for the Center for Creative Leadership because I am able to get so much feedback on my performance and behavior. Although both things are true (it is wonderful, and yes, we do get a lot of feedback here), I have observed that not all the feedback that comes to us is through the traditional routes of a feedback session or a 360-degree-feedback instrument. In fact, much of it reaches us, as it does people in other organizations, through less-than-direct routes.
