THE LEADER AS A ROLE MODEL
Think back about the various bosses you have had. Try to recall two things about each one:
1. how well they performed against their annual objective
2. what they were like as a boss and as a person
The chances are that you can remember much more about what they were like than about how they performed. And this is just how you will be remembered as well.
You will be remembered for both the small things and the big things. For instance, we were walking through the bush with a tribal elder and two young warriors.
