CHOOSE YOUR TEAM

In the tribal world the leader does not get to choose his (and it is always his) team. The team is the village, which will include the inevitable village idiot. You cannot fire the village idiot: he is part of your team, so make the most of it.

Clearly, as a leader, you have a huge advantage over the tribal leader. You can choose your team. And this is where things go wrong. New leaders typically make two sorts of mistake.

First, they choose the wrong team.
