Friday morning Mike walked into the plant and got a big surprise. In fact, a surprise party—for him. The people at the plant were warming up to him and the changes he was making, and so, in the spirit of the reward and recognition program, they'd decided to give him some recognition. They had cake and coffee, and a few folks got up and said good things about him and his leadership. It actually made Mike tear up. He had never had anything like that happen before.
