It still takes work. Work to set the expectations and model them, work to discover the best rewards and apply them, and beyond that, diligent work toward whatever goals and immediate targets you've set. To make leadership work:

  • Set the standard high.

  • Work harder, longer.

  • Work hard and work smart.

  • Overdeliver.
