Let’s do a little exercise. For five minutes, write down the many ways you would describe yourself—for example, your features, profession, religion, marital or relationship status, circle of friends, favorite recreational activities, political affiliation, and personality characteristics. Review your description.

Imagine it’s a year from now and I’m having you do the same exact exercise. What are the chances that you’d give me the same exact words? I’m guessing very slim.
