Revealing the Personal: Showing the Passion

Once you and others have agreed on a context, you have also agreed on the need for change. You have mutually defined the width and depth of the chasm from the present to the future. To jump this chasm with you, others must be convinced of your competence and satisfied that you are trustworthy. In contrast to your competence, however, your trustworthiness is subjective. It will be established in the personal experiences, analogy, metaphors, and stories that you use to support your own authenticity.
