Friends for the Journey

The king and queen agreed at once. The princess and the youngest brother were married. The father, the much-chastened brothers, the little men, and even the faery-woman came to the wedding and celebrated his good fortune. The princess and the lad were glad together, and when the old king and queen died after long and happy lives, the princess and the youngest-brother-turned king ruled with kindness, justice, and joy.
