The Tip of the Tip of the Iceberg: Bringing the Issue to the Surface

The toughest problems to solve are those that lurk and hide, unseen. Invisible to the naked eye. Because we do not see the waves of today’s cellular phone systems, the exchange of bits as we upload files to the cloud, or transmit a simple message from one person to another, it is easy to assume that things are working correctly, even though they may not be.

Lean thinking applied to communication processes can and does bring issues to the surface so that they can be viewed and analyzed for continuous improvements and correctives. This is part of the magic potion of transformation—from the unseen to the staring right at you.
