Our BASICS® model is composed of two parts which need to be integrated in order to sustain a Lean system (see Figure 2.1):

  1. BASICS® Lean Tools1—Improving processes using both an individual, team, and company-wide-based scientific management approach
  2. BASICS® Lean Continuous Leadership Development—Ingraining ownership for improving processes through the human aspects of developing people
