Author Michael Meyers had the original idea for this book, which is based on his career at Donnelly Corporation. He said, “You know, Dan and Charlie, we should write a book on shop floor management. Most of our clients are struggling with their shop floors with so many baby boomers retiring.” As such, the book is heavily influenced by Mike’s past experiences and knowledge as well as the co-authors’ experiences and research.

This book has been an interesting journey that started in 1985 with Bendix Communications Division in Towson, Maryland, and the “Hats” team.
