Design for Lean Six Sigma (DLSS) applies all the Improve methods and tools described in Part II to the product development process. The objective of DLSS is that products go into production meeting customer performance and cost goals, with robust performance and with defects prevented. The DLSS process should make further rapid improvement possible as market and cost demands change with time.
