Getting Ready with OS X
These instructions have been tested on OS X Mavericks (10.9.5) and on OS X Yosemite (10.10.3). There was a bug in OS X 10.9.2 and earlier that required a complicated workaround, so check the OS X version you’re using.
To do this installation, you need to be logged in to the computer with an account that has administrator privileges. If you’re working on your own computer and yours is the only account, you’re all set. If not, you can see what privileges an account has in the Users and Groups panel of System Preferences.
