Using slicers and timelines

Using slicers and timelines is an excellent way of filtering data in a PivotTable. The difference between filtering and using slicers is that slicers is more visually appealing and also allows you to quickly retrieve data:

  1. Before we add slicers, let's reorganize our data fields. Use the following example to get the data ready for slicers. Use the same worksheet as in the previous example:
  1. Click on the PivotTable, then go to the Analyze tab of the PivotTable Tools contextual menu.
