Downloading and installing a data gateway

To install a data gateway in either mode, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the Power BI Service.
  1. In the header area, click the down arrow icon and choose Data Gateway. This is a link that takes you to Microsoft's data gateway home page, https://powerbi.microsoft.com/gateway/, which should look similar to the following screenshot:

  1. Click the DOWNLOAD GATEWAY link.
