Chapter 4. Surfaces

This chapter describes how you work with surfaces. Surfaces are used to represent existing surface and sub-surface terrain, and proposed design surfaces.

The Creating Surfaces lesson describes how you create a surface for an urban road using point group data and breakline data. The Modifying Surfaces lesson describes how you modify the properties of a surface to change the surface style, manage the crossing breaklines and change the surface definition parameters. You also edit a surface to delete the long and inaccurate triangulation lines that span across the corners of the intersections.
