Summary

In this chapter we discussed how to set up Visual Studio 2015 to start using Node.js in an integrated way. We have installed Node.js packages using the NPM with the Node.js interactive window. Next, we connected to our DocumentDB and we saw how to create a separate module that contains our DocumentDB credentials. Before operating against our database, we created a utility class that contains some helper functions. Finally, we used the utilities module to connect to our database, find the appropriate collection, create a document, search for that document, and display the successful results in the browser window.
