Creating and listing pools

When creating a Ceph pool we must a specify a name, PG count, and a pool type of either replicated or erasure-coded.   We'll begin by creating a replicated pool.  We don't specify the type because replicated is the default. We will use our trusty sandbox cluster again in this exercise.

  1. Create a pool named web-services with a pg_num value of 128. The pool's pgp_num is implicitly set to match the pg_num we specify.
    root@ceph-client0:~# ceph osd pool create web-services 128
    pool 'web-services' created
