CHAPTER 9 Tools from the Learning Sciences

This chapter builds on the foundations outlined in Chapter 2. It summarizes concepts from the learning sciences, and it provides some scaffolding to help organize your thinking around their application.

Before using these tools, you should have already examined the challenge (see Chapter 8) and used a modular design approach to isolate specific opportunities or problems to be addressed. First use the following checklist to consider the applicable category or categories that apply to your challenge.
