Plugins

In Ext JS 4 plugins provide custom functionality for the components. A plugin is an Ext JS class that usually doesn't need to extend another Ext JS class. A plugin must always have an init method that the Ext JS plugin system calls to initialize the plugin.

The init method will take the component, which has the plugin as a parameter. This method will configure all custom events, if any, and will also set up the methods to listen to those events.

For the grid panel we have a set of five plugins already implemented in the Ext JS library. They are the Ext.grid.plugin.Editing, Ext.grid.plugin.CellEditing, Ext.grid.plugin.RowEditing, Ext.grid.plugin.DragDrop, and Ext.grid.plugin.HeaderResizer plugins.
