Opening Up the Space
ONE OF THE CAPACITIES we try to build in this work is the ability to play with ideas and meanings as a way of opening up possibilities. If we are able to get a bit of distance from "Reality" with a capital R, we can begin to consider alternatives, to play with them and try them on for size. This flexibility depends on our ability to be present in the moment; to move more fully into the realm that both Bion and Winnicott describe as one of "being."
