Working with csv files

A common format to exchange data externally between an organization and the outside world is the CSV (short for Comma Separated Values) format. Files of this format have the .csv extension. Most spreadsheet software packages will be able to import and export csv files. Also, many database software packages will have the ability to export tables to csv files. The format of a csv file is relatively simple.
